Taxidermy & Pest Control

Heath Gunther, Owner of McFadden Pest Control

As hunting season is in full force, it is oftentimes a dream to bring home that trophy animal. Once in your home, it’s a conversation piece and a proud reminder of the hunt. However, it’s not a “set it and forget it” situation. If left untreated, moths and their larvae can begin to eat away at the mount causing noticeable damage to the hide and fur.

Moths and their larvae specifically focus on the hide, which you will notice when patches of fur start to fall out. If you start seeing any bald spots or adult moths inside your home, it’s time to call in some reinforcement.

So, remember, the best approach is prevention. Don’t wait until it’s too late!  Our professional team will know how to treat and prevent further damage to your prized trophies.

Good luck in the field this hunting season!
